Sports journalism lost a great one yesterday.

Tim Rosaforte, who spent decades in both print and TV died yesterday.

Rosaforte was one of the first “insiders” in TV sports. He spent most of his career in the world of golf and was able to dig up good information on the people he covered.

He wrote a book about Tiger Woods early in his career that was a great read but not liked at all by Woods.

Rosaforte died after being hit with an aggressive case of Alzheimer's.

He was just 66 years old.
