Live Shot Bozo is Busted
Hopefully, this will send a message to those that think it is okay to run up on a crew doing a live shot and disturb them.
Word came down that the U.S. Marshals arrested Ben Dagley yesterday at a shopping plaza in Dayton, Ohio, and the Gulfport Police Department in Mississippi has filed criminal charges against the man it says accosted MSNBC reporter Shaquille Brewster during an on-air live segment Monday.
Earlier this week, FTVLive showed you the video of Dagley, who parked his pickup on the side of the road and ran out to confront the MSNBC news crew.
Dagley was charged by the Gulfport police with two counts of simple assault, one count of disturbing the peace and one count of violating an emergency curfew.
Yes, he will likely get hit with a slap on the wrist and pay a fine, but hopefully, some will see how this played out and will think twice before confronting a news crew just doing their job.
I know that is not likely to happen, but I can dream….can’t I?
