It has been a long time coming, but WRAL's Fayetteville Reporter Gilbert Baez returned to work yesterday after a long and nasty battle with COVID.

He posted the news of his return on social media:

Baez said he lost about 20 pounds during the course of his illness and needed supplemental oxygen once his levels dropped to 90%. Doctors say that number should be 95% or higher. Thankfully, he was never put on a ventilator.

It’s good to see him back!
