The Story Was There and Now it's Now
Sinclair’s KUTV (Salt Lake City) had posted a story on their website in which questions how police botched the Gabby Petito.
The story titled, “Retired FBI agent: Brian Laundrie likely killed Gabby Petito in 'impulsive act'“ was posted on the station’s website, but now the story has been pulled down and KUTV page is a dead link with no explanation as to why they delated the story.
FTVLive found a cached version of the story. Here is a screenshot:
Of course this is not really reporting as it is more just speculation as to what happened? You are used to seeing this crap on a Nancy Grace talk show and not a newscast.
Over at Scripps KSTU, also in Salt Lake City, they did a story talking to a defense attorney about he thinks that person of interest Brian Laundrie got good legal advice to not talk to police.
Or as one viewer said to FTVLive, “Let’s tell men who want to murder their girlfriends how to get away with it.”
I guess it’s. story that local stations think will keep viewers engaged and if it is a bunch of speculation, then so bi it.
I’m not exactly sure I would call it Journalism.
But, then again, that’s just me.
