It was one year ago that FTVLive FIRST told you about cuts going down at Meredith WFSB in Hartford.

The station sacked a number of experienced employees and now it appears that WFSB is starting to hire again.

The station announced that they have hired Lorin Richardson to do the weather. Richardson is not yet a meteorologist, but in her bio posted on WFSB, they claim that she is close to becoming a Met.

She had been working at News 12 Connecticut as a traffic anchor.

The station parted ways with Meteorologist Mike Cameron a year ago.
