Texas Anchor Responds....
While good quality talent continues to walk out the door at Tegna’s WFAA in Dallas, morning “Anchor” Kara Sewell is still there.
Sewell uses her station-branded social media to share her right-wing views and some would say conspiracy theories with her followers.
We have shared a number of those posts here on FTVLive, including one yesterday.
Well, Sewell reached out to FTVLive and asked us for a “Favor”.
This is the email that Sewell sent to FTVLive:
Scott,
I know you love to give me exposure on your gossip site; North Texas Giving Day is next week so, instead of manipulating my social media content I would appreciate it if you could highlight my true passion - helping people with special needs.
Texas is ranked 49th in the country on how well state programs, primarily Medicaid, serve those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Awareness and support is critical to allow Ability Connection to continue helping over 700 people in North Texas.
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." - Theodore Roosevelt.
I've also included information about Ability Connection's Vine & Dine, in case you would like to make a donation.
Thanks in advance.
Kara Sewell
Of course, I am more than happy to send a donation along. Also, I recently donated nearly 200 golf shirts, many never worn and some costing over $150 bucks apiece to the AMVets. I would urge Kara and others to go through their closet and see if they have some clothes laying around that can help others.
Here’s apicture of some of the clothes I donated stacked up in my car.
Also, maybe we missed it but, looking at Kara Sewell’s Twitter posts for the month of September, we can’t find any posts to this event she is asking us to promote.
Anyway, if you can help out the charity that Swell is talking about that would be great. If not them, please feel the need to give to other charities.
Now, I have to get back to my “gossip site” and “manipulate” some more content.
Have a great weekend.
