Weatherman Elects Not to be Vaccinated and is No Longer Employed

WLUC (Marquette) longtime Weatherman Karl Bohnak took to social media to inform viewers that after 3 decades at the station, he is no longer employed.

Bohnak posted that the Gray station parted ways with him after he decided not to get the vaccine that is mandated by the company.

Bohnak then went on to make some of the same points you see made on Fox News and other right-wing media as to why he was not getting the vaccine.

Despite hospitals’ ICU’s being full of unvaccinated people, Bohnak says, “Now, if the risk of death from COVID would be significant, I might take a chance and get injected,” adding ”The abrogation of our liberty and freedom under the guise of a pandemic is very disturbing to me.”

It’s funny that kids have been going to school for decades and they are required to have vaccines against a number of viruses and yet almost no one seemed to say a thing about it.

But, now for some reason, Bohnak is not about to take a vaccine that has been given to millions of people that have experienced no side effects.

If this was only about Bohnak’s life and health, I say do what he wants. But, the people at the station have to share a studio and a workspace with him, and putting their health and their families health in danger is a different story.

Gray made the call that if you want to work for the company, you need to be vaccinated. If you don’t want to get the vaccine, that’s fine and you can leave.

That’s what happened here and Karl Bohnak made the choice not to follow the company mandate. Fully within his right to do and within Gray’s right to say C-ya!

Hopefully, when he gets in his car, he ignores using his seatbelt and doesn’t stop for a single stop sign or traffic light. Following those laws seems to infringe on his liberty and freedom.

And, God only knows, we can’t have that.

Here’s his post that appears to be written by Tucker Carlson.

BTW- Does NewsMax need an over-the-hill weatherman?

Just saying…
