Longtime WTVM (Columbus, GA) Sports Director Dave Platta says that he was fired for not receiving the COVID vaccination.

Platta joined the station in 1985 and posted to Twitter that he did not want to leave the station, nor did the station want him to leave.

He says he was terminated by Gray Television for not being vaccinated, which is now a mandate of Gray.

While he says he was fired, in a post online, WTVM wrote, “Dave has decided to move on from WTVM and his Sports Director role.”

He was told that the vaccine was now part of his job requirement and he refused to comply with that requirement.

He did not give his reason’s for not getting the vaccine that has been given to millions and millions of people with no side effects, and that is his choice.

Just it is Gray’s choice to try and keep the employees of the company safe, by requiring them to have the vaccine.

He then added another tweet:

I guess that he’s implying that Gray is the bully, which is nonsense.

It’s their company and their rules, you don’t like leave.

Simple enough.
