Former News Nation Anchor Lands at Newsy
It appears that Rob Nelson is going to give a news startup another go.
Nelson was hired by Nexstar’s News Nation and after it stumbled out of the gates, lost most of its first day management team, Nelson left the very struggling cable news station.
But, it appears that Nelson is not done at joining news startups.
Scripps Newsy, which is moving from a streaming app to and over the air product launching October 1st announced that Rob Nelson will be the network’s solo anchor in the 4-7 p.m. time period on Newsy.
“Rob brings a host of experience at network, at local, and at new formats,” said Newsy head Kate O’Brian.” I’ve known him a long time, and he’s a terrific reporter and a terrific anchor.”
Newsy claims that they will be a “fact-based, non-opinionated” news network.
I wonder where Rob Nelson heard that before?
