And Now it Has Disappeared
Two days ago, in a Patron Only story, FTVLive told you that WSVN (Miami) Morning Anchor Diana Diaz announced that she is leaving the station and the TV news business altogether.
In announcing her exit from the station, Diaz said that along with working at WSVN, she has also spent the past 7 years working at a company called MSP Recovery.
FTVLive pointed out that while Diaz was working as an Anchor, she was also doing glowing stories about MSP Recovery, the company that she worked for as part of her side hustle.
A portion of that story that was on WSVN’s website is posted below:
After FTVLive posted the story, it seems that management at WSVN took notice. The story about MSP Recovery has been scrubbed from WSVN’s website.
But, video of Diaz reporting about the company that she worked for while employed by the station, still can be found on YouTube.
Cleary, this was a conflict of interest.
Having an Anchor write and present a story to viewers about a company that she worked for, without disclosing that fact is way over the line.
We don’t know if WSVN management knew at the time that this was happening, and we are guessing that they most likely did not.
But, apparently after FTVLive posted the story for our Patrons, WSVN went back and pulled the story from the station’s website.
Yep, we are getting results for you.
