I’m not going to say that this sounds tone-deaf…..but it is TONE-DEAF.

FTVLive FIRST told you about the blood bath at WFXT Boston 25.

The Cox station canceled a number of newscasts and laid off a lot of people. A week later the station is running a contest in which they are giving away $15,000 bucks in an online contest.

Boston 25 will be giving $5,000 each to an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school as part of a station contest.

On the station’s website, it says, “Boston 25 Morning News will select two elementary, middle and high schools as finalists. There will be an online vote to select one winner in each category to receive a $5,000 donation.”

I’m sure that those that were just put out of work by the station really appreciate seeing this.
