FTVLive is hearing that the axe is being swung in two Boston newsrooms today.

Insiders tell FTVLive that NBC Boston News Director Ben Dobson is out the door.

Dobson has been at the NBC just over 3 years after starting in June of 2018.

Across the street at Cox’s Boston 25, sources say that corporate suits are at the station and it looks like cuts are being implemented.

We hear that Sports Director Tom Leyden is one of those cut, along with a member of production. Insiders say that more cuts are expected.
