Insiders tell FTVLive over the past several months, Graham Media’s KPRC has lost nearly a dozen Producers, EP’s, or Associate Producers.

“Producers are working six-day weeks and scrambling to fill shows without adequate writers,” said one station insider to FTVLive.

If you look at the careers page on KPRC’s website, you will see that Producer jobs are plenty at the station.

This is not only a KPRC problem.

A number of News Directors have told FTVLive that they are in desperate need of Producers. One large market ND said that they hired a Producer that was, '“not near ready enough for a market this size,” because they could not find anyone else.

As one News Director said, “the Producer shortage is at a critical stage.”
