FTVLive told you how a lawsuit was filed against former ABC News Producer, now News Nation head Micheal Corn by two staffers.

The staffers claim they were sexually assaulted by a former ABC News executive.

Corn left ABC News and was hired by Nexstar, which obviously is a bit lacking when it comes to doing background checks.

The Wall Street Journal reports that ABC tried to head this situation off at the pass and before any lawsuits were filed.

WSJ says that Disney tried unsuccessful mediation talks in June with the two women now suing the company and Corn.

The mediation talks came after Disney concluded an investigation into the women’s allegations against Mr. Corn, people close to the company and the alleged victims said.

The suit alleged that ABC officials learned of Ms. Crawford’s allegations in 2017 but failed to investigate the matter at the time. According to the suit, “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos was told by a third party about the alleged incident and told ABC officials, including Tanya Menton, an ABC lawyer who handles litigation and employee relations.

ABC News President Kim Godwin, who started weeks after Corn’s departure, told staff on a conference call last Thursday that she has asked for an independent investigation into how the network handled the allegations against Corn.
