Hearst-owned WVTM (Birmingham, AL) has named a new News Director.

Baylor Long, who had been the Deuce at WTAE in Pittsburgh, now moves to the big chair in Birmingham.

“Baylor brings a wealth of ideas and insights from his experience in other Hearst Television markets to help our winning team of journalists,” said Susana Schuler, general manager of WVTM. “He will be a valuable addition as WVTM continues to serve our communities with relevant, impactful, insightful news and weather coverage across all platforms.”

Long is replacing Sue Stephens, who is retiring later this month.
