Testing Positive in LA
Just after 2:30 PM yesterday, KTLA News Director Pete Saiers emailed the staff to inform them of a newsroom staff meeting that was COVID-related.
FTVLive obtained a copy of that email:
15 minutes later, Saiers sent out another email to the staff, informing them that a member of the news team had tested positive for COVID, and was last in the building earlier that day.
FTVLive also obtained that memo:
But, the day before he sent out this memo to the staff:
Saiers started off that memos by saying, “California State law requires us to provide you with this written notice of potential exposure (under California AB685).”
This makes us wonder if the law didn’t require the Nexstar station to inform the staff of a positive COVID test, would they have done so on their own?
Just asking….
