WTVR (Richmond) Reporter Jon Burkett was T-boned while driving and while he was not badly injured, it lead to some more sad news.

While getting checked out following the crash, doctors made a discovery. Burkett posted to social media, "While getting a scan, doctors found a tumor above my right kidney," he posted, adding, “I’m scared as hell. I’ve got a lot of living left and a wife, three beautiful kids, family, CBS 6 colleagues and friends who mean the world to me.”

Hopefully, all works out and we are sending John positive vibes. In the end, the tumor might have been found too late if it wasn’t for the car crash.
