Nexstar Station in the Basement

It appears that Nexstar’s WDCW (DC Market) office is currently undergoing a months long renovation project.

Insiders at the station tell FTVLive that rather than renting a suitable space for the long duration of the project, or allowing remote work, the company is ordering all staff to work out of the single, shared room, in the building's basement.

“There are no offices and no privacy or quiet spaces for work calls,” said one staffer to FTVLive, adding, “The staff has gotten used to listening to loud, constant drilling all day.”

Insiders say that some employees are becoming worried about the safety of working conditions in their temporary "office."

On the first day in the temp space, a pipe burst, showering water all over an employee, and the team had to be sent home for the remainder of the day. A week later, debris fell from the ceiling onto another employee according to one insider.

The signage for the new office is a printed-out piece of paper scotch-taped to the window.

The project is expected to last 5 months.
