This post on LinkedIn by KTVT (Dallas) News Director Laurie Passman has me scratching my head a bit.

First off, this is the CBS O&O in Dallas that is calling themselves a “small” newsroom.

Dallas is a Top 5 market. A station in a market that big should not have a small staff. A station owned by a network should not have a small staff.

Are the suits at CBS happy to see their newsroom in the 5th market described as “small” by the person that runs the newsroom?

Also, what’s up with all the Producer openings?

Maybe if the station paid their Producers better in a top market, they would have their boss begging for candidates on social media.

I’m sorry, but this post doesn’t make the station, or CBS look good.

But hey, that’s just me….
