New Hire in O-Town

Back in May, FTVLive told you that Fox O&O WOFL (Orlando) had quietly parted ways with Anchor Stephen Hauck and Charles Billi.

Like the Fox O&O’s are known to do, WOFL left viewers in the dark as to why the anchors were gone?

Now, the station has finally gotten around to hiring a new Anchor.

WOFL announced that hired John Brown, who had previously worked for the Fox O&O.

Brown co-anchored Good Day Orlando on FOX 35 with Amy Kaufeldt from 2009 to 2016 before leaving for a gig in St. Louis.

In announcing Brown’s hire, WOFL writes, “John is married and has two daughters. He is an avid runner, has competed in dozens of marathons and half-marathons, and enjoys warm weather, golf, and studying history.”

It’s funny how the station tells you all about the personal life of the new Anchor but doesn’t say a word when they end up leaving.

You know, because. the communications business.
