One TV newsie doesn’t like the “homer” look on the Phoenix Reporters that are covering the NBA Finals.
Why is it whenever I see clips on my Twitter feed from reporters in Arizona, they are presenting their stories while wearing shirts featuring the logo of the Phoenix Suns?
Last time I checked, reporters aren’t cheerleaders for the market’s sports teams.
If a player gets arrested, will the same reporters cover the court proceedings while wearing team gear?
It’s one thing to report on the excitement and impact an event like the NBA finals has on the community, but all I have seen from the likes of the Tegna and Meredith stations is nothing more than trite gushing.
It’s a stark contrast to the coverage I’ve seen from WTMJ in Milwaukee.
Just comes across as bush league and unprofessional — which I guess is par for the course for Tegna and Meredith — so I shouldn’t be surprised.
A Nexstar employee is weighing in on the new “Nexstar Employee Assistance Fund.”
I’m looking forward to filing a claim with Nexstars' disaster relief fund. The natural disaster I will be filing it under: I work for Nexstar!!! I’m having problems paying my bills and they want me to contribute to a fund that helps pay other people’s bills.
Get real Uncle Perry.
And lastly, we like these emails:
Scott,
Thank you for all the work you do on FTVLive! You are the first site I head to when I wake up and I really appreciate the work that you do.
