FTVLive has documented a number of the diversity problems inside Tegna that start at the top with Dave Lougee and work their way down to some of the stations.

Yesterday, Tegna posted a picture of some of the interns they have hired this Summer.

While it is nice to see that 5 of the 7 people in the picture are people of color and they hid the two white guys behind sunglasses, these are interns.

Tegna needs to be putting people of color on the air and even more importantly in the corner offices.

Congrats to these kids that are just starting out their TV careers, but let’s hope that Tegna can make more diverse hires, other than the interns.
