Bo Knows Car Engines

I think it is time to start the blog with some good news….

The other day a friend and I were walking our dogs just before 6 AM when we heard a sound coming from a car parked on the street.

The sound was that of a cat crying very loudly.

The cat was stuck in the car’s engine and with the way cars are built nowadays it was impossible for me to get up in the engine and try and get the cat out.

Since the car was parked on the street, we had no clue as to whom the vehicle belonged. I called the police and they came out. The cop ran the plate, but it did not come back to any address nearby.

We put a note on the car, telling the drive not to start the car and to call my phone number for help.

We continued to check back on the car every half-hour, hoping we could catch the owner. Finally, at almost 9 AM a neighbor said where she thought the car belonged.

After knocking on the door a few times, we finally got an answer and the owner came outside.

I popped the hood and sitting on top of the engine, right by the fan was a little kitten that could not have been more than 7 or 8 weeks old.

I grabbed the kitty and it scratched and bit me as it was in total fear. I was able to get the cat in my car and drive it over to my friend’s house.

The kitten, now named Bo, has a new loving home and no longer has to worry about being outside in the dangers of the Florida environment.

Bo is adapting to his/her new surroundings with lots of toys and food always at hand. Bo already loves to play and is enjoying his/her new home.

Here’s a pic of Bo smiling for the camera:
