Now She's Fired
FTVLive told you that WWJ (Detroit) Weather Anchor April Moss became the second on-air talent to lash out at her employer live on the air and now it has cost her her job and rightfully so.
WWJ owner CBS released a statement saying, “April Moss objected to WWJ-TV’s policies regarding COVID-19 testing and wearing masks inside our station, which are based on CDC, state and local guidelines. Any suggestion that she was in any way a victim of “discrimination” due to her concerns about these policies is completely false. In fact, we allowed April to perform her weather anchor duties from home as we explored her concerns.”
“While we respect and support our employees’ freedom to have their own opinions, they are not entitled to use our station news broadcasts as a platform for sharing personal views. Ms. Moss is no longer with our station.”
Moss decided to go rogue on Father’s Day and used a live weather segment to lash out at CBS and voice her concerns.
Moss has now launched a fundraising campaign and is looking to raise $350,000. In the posted fundraiser (FTVLive will not provide a link) Moss says, “I felt led to stand up to the medical discrimination that was being enforced by ViacomCBS on its employees. The mandate for any individual to be tested for COVID19 for employment or participation at a university or other institution violates federal law.”
So far, she has raised over $60,000 in her quest.
It is doubtful that any legit TV station will ever hire Moss again. Not sure what her plans are after her free money from suckers runs out, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
Stay tuned….
