M-I-A in Chicago

The National Weather Service said that an EF-3 tornado hit the Chicago area on Sunday night.

The storm hit the populated suburbs of Naperville and Woodridge and insiders tell FTVLive that while the other stations covered the dangerous storm as it was touching down, Fox owned WFLD did not.

“All stations - except the Fox-owned station - were on-the-air warning viewers as tornado sirens sounded in Will, DuPage and Cook Counties starting just before 11 p.m.” said a Chicago insider to FTVLive.

Insiders say that an email from management was circulated on Monday blaming the lack of coverage on “extraordinary staffing issues.”
