FORE!
For many, there is no bigger golf tournament than the U.S. Open which was played this past weekend at Torrey Pines in San Diego.
This year the tournament was suspenseful and came down to the very end. John Rahm made clutch putts on the 17th and 18th holes to take the lead over Louis Oosthuizen, who was now trying to catch Rahm.

Now, severe weather is important and anyone working in a newsroom knows that when nasty weather hits, it is the station’s duty to let viewers know.
But, in this case, you could have waited just one more second for Oosthuizen’s putt to reach the hole so viewers could see the outcome, before breaking into coverage.
A split-screen would have also worked.
The Nexstar station could not have picked a worse time to cut in.
