The Masturbator is Back at CNN
Well, you knew it was going to happen, even if many held out hope CNN management would do the right thing.
CNN legal analyst Jeffery Toobin returned to the air at CNN, months after he was seen masturbating on a Zoom call with his co-workers at the New Yorker.
Toobin was swiftly fired by the New Yorker for his disgusting actions, but CNN just let him “take some time off” from the network.
Yesterday, he returned to the air at CNN.
Interestingly, Toobin made his return on Alisyn Camerota’s show. Camerota, who has been outspoken about sexual harassment and #MeToo more than anyone at CNN the past three years was tapped by CNN boss Jeff Zucker to do the Toobin rehabilitation interview.
Camerota has been very outspoken against Fox News, her former employer and former head Roger Ailes. Now, here she is, sitting down with a guy that jerked off on camera in front of his co-workers and welcoming him back on camera at CNN.
Zucker had his media puppets Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy also team up to help the Toobin rehab project. In a posted story, bylined by both Stelter and Darcy, it reads, “Some anchors and hosts at CNN also expressed a desire to have Toobin back on their shows, since he has been a leading legal voice on television for decades.”
Not sure who the “some” were, or how many “some” is, but FTVLive heard from a number of CNN staffers that were outraged that Toobin was not fired for his actions.
One can only imagine how Stelter and Darcy would have angled this story if it was happening at Fox News and not CNN?
DC Examiner Tiana Lowe hit the nail on the head.
The fact that Jeff Zucker and CNN would let this guy return to work after something like this, clearly shows that the #MeToo movement means nothing at CNN.
Between Chris Cuomo advising his governor brother while also hosting a show at CNN and Jeffery Toobin masturbating in front of co-workers, it appears it is impossible to get fired at CNN.
