After almost 9 years at WPLG in Miami, Managing Editor Peggy Phillip posted that she is leaving the station and headed to Greenville, South Carolina.

Phillip says that she will be working the assignment desk at WYFF, the Hearst station in Greenville. In her post she said that she expects to finish out her career at the South Carolina station.

Phillip is a former News Director, leading newsrooms in Memphis, Tulsa, Baltimore, KC, along with other stops.

She also might be the only person that works in TV news that thinks working on the assignment desk less stressful.

Personal note: The first time I met Peggy Phillip was at a party at NAB in Las Vegas. She walked in with a guy and I said “Hi Peggy Phillip” and then looking at the guy, I said, “and you must be Mr. Peggy Phillip"?”

He replied, “No, I’m Steve Doerr.”
