KOLD (Tucson) Reporter Brooke Chaplain is leaving the station and TV news altogether.

According to an internal email sent to the KOLD news staff from News Director Jenelle Shriner, Chaplain is headed for a life in PR.

You know, because no TV news person has done that move before.

Here’s the memo:

Please join me in wishing Brooke Chaplain the best as she prepares for life outside TV!

 In just a few weeks Brooke will be leaving KOLD to pursue a marketing opportunity in Virginia.

For the past year and a half, Brooke has played a vital role in getting information to our viewers during a pandemic. 

She’s been the definition of a team player – from reporting, to anchoring, to breaking news desk, to weather.  And she’s done it all with a smile on her face!

 Brooke, we are going to miss you but we are so excited to see what’s next for you.

Brooke’s last day will be Wednesday, June 16.  Good luck, Brooke!
