5 days ago, FTVLive told you that WWBT (Richmond) Chief Meteorologist Jim Duncan suddenly resigned from the station and it appears that he will not be replaced.

According to a post from WWBT “Weather Specialist” Nick Russo, station management has decided that they will not hire or name a new “Chief Meteorologist” at the station.

“The News Director here at NBC12 sent out a note late last week clarifying what will happen moving forward. We will not have a "chief" meteorologist (in fact we have not actively used that title on TV in many years) because the emphasis is on the First Alert Weather Team as a whole. Team first!” Russo said in his post.

I’m sure that since there is no Chief, the station will also save a few bucks as well. But, I’m positive that saving money did not have anything to do with this change.
