Sliding Back Down the Slippery Slope.....

As far as I know, Quincy Media which is in the process of being sold is not requiring their employees to have the COVID vaccine in order to work at the station.

Therefore, does the station have the right to demand their employees to show their proof of the vaccine and when they got it?

This is the internal memo that was sent to the staff at KVOA.

Now, I understand why a station would want to know who on staff was vaccinated when? If everyone on staff has received the vaccine, it would mean that the station could bring all their employees back to work at the station.

But, when you require the staff to give you that information, I would say you are crossing the line.

What action will the station take against someone that chooses not to get the vaccine? Will, that person lose their job, have their schedule changed, or be demoted?

Certainly, if I worked at a Tv station and was asked to give my vaccine information voluntarily, I would do so. As I said, I understand why a station would want that information.

But, when you make me give up my personal health information, it is there that I think you have crossed the line.

Just saying…..
