Is It Something in the Station Water
FTVLive told you how Nexstar’s WCIA cut ties with Reporter Abigail Metsch after she posted a provocative picture to her Instagram account.
Metsch showed her backside in a string bikini and used it to urge her followers to watch her stories on the station’s website.
After FTVLive pointed out the picture, the company cut ties with the young Reporter.
But, it still seems that at least some of the talent at WCIA is still posting sexy pics.
On her station-branded Instagram, WCIA Forecaster Amelia Henderson is not sticking her backside at the camera, but she doesn’t seem too worried about modesty either.
This is a sample of some of her sexy snaps.
Do these photos cross the line? I would say that do not, but the question that needs to be asked, what's too provocative for a work account?
Henderson is a beautiful woman and obviously proud of being so. But, are these the kind of pictures that should be posted on a station-branded account?
At least some people at the station so it is not. “Are wannabe sex kittens the new normal in local news?” ask one station insider to FTVLive.
Maybe the station could give the staff a bit of social media training and explain to them what should and should not be on a work account.
Also, how does CBS News feel about inferring that she works there?
After Les Moonves and the other problems at CBS, this might not be the optics they are looking for right now.
Just saying….
