BREAKING NEWS! Daughter of Boston Anchor Accused of Sex Assault of a Minor
Some news breaking out of Boston, involving the daughter of WCVB Anchor Ed Harding.
The station is preparing to do a story on a woman that has been charged with sexual assault on a minor. According to an internal email sent out to the staff, the accused is the daughter of Harding.
Caitlin Harding a former teacher was arraigned by videoconference on multiple charges of child rape and indecent assault and battery on a child, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office.
Harding assaulted the victim multiple times in 2010, prosecutors said. The girl was a 13-year-old seventh-grader at a middle school in Hudson at the time. She had previously been in Harding’s sixth-grade class.
Hudson School Superintendent Marco Rodrigues said district officials had not received any prior reports suggesting Harding harmed students. He said she voluntarily left in 2013 after seven years.
Harding was fired four years later from the Needham school district, and reached a settlement with the town last year in a wrongful termination suit, the newspaper reported.
The email was sent to the news staff from WCVB News Director Paige Harrison. FTVLive has obtained a copy of the email:
