They Left That Part Out
Tegna’s WUSA in DC did a glowing story about local restaurant owner Geoff Tracy and how he weathered the COVID pandemic.
Tracy owns the DC eatery Chef Geoff's and Lia's and said that he had to layoff all his staff and has now turned to a take-out restaurant and also he created a community pantry, selling everything from toilet paper to bleach, gloves, pasta, fruits, milk and even cheez-its.
That move helped him be able to bring back staff that he had to layoff.
"When I was in culinary school, I definitely never thought I'd be selling cheez-its to keep the lights on," Tracy laughed as he told WUSA.
What WUSA did not tell viewers is that Tracey is the husband of CBS Evening News Anchor Norah O’Donnell.
While it was a nice story that some might call a puff-piece, it would have been nice if the Tegna station disclosed the fact that the guy is the husband of the woman that appears on their channel each weekday.
Just saying….
