Former Producer Blasts Co-Workers
Former TV Producer Ira Rosen is burning down the bridges in a new bool in which he claims that Diane Sawyer was 'two-faced', Katie Couric is 'lazy' and 'Chris Cuomo is 'entitled.'
Rosen writes about an incident involving the late 60 Minutes Correspondent Mike Wallace and his blowing up at a Producer when a source decided not to show up an interview.
“Mike went crazy,” Rosen writes, grabbing fistfuls of documents from Producer Allan Maraynes’ briefcase and hurling them into his face as he struggled to keep the vehicle on the road.
“Wallace cursed Allan, told him that he was a failure as a producer and that he would be demoted as soon as we returned to New York. It was the most astonishing verbal abuse I had ever witnessed.”
But Rosen did concede “I’d rather work with a talented asshole than a nice person without talent,” he writes in his book.
Katie Couric infuriated Rosen during her short and unhappy “60 Minutes” stint.
“Lazy and disengaged, and thought she was smarter than all of us who worked on the show,” he judges. “She wasn’t.”
One person hearing of Rosen’s attacks on his former co-workers said to FTVLive, “Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.”
