More Deception by Fox News

I want to tell you a personal story, but first, let’s talk about Fox News and its continuation of deceiving viewers.

A couple of days ago, FTVLive told you how Amy Jacobson appeared on the Fox News morning show “Fox & Friends” to comment on the dispute over reopening Chicago Public Schools for in-person learning.

Jacobson is passed off by Fox News as a “Chicago parent and volleyball coach” who is speaking out against the Chicago Teachers Union for keeping kids out of school. This is true, but she is also the co-host of a conservative radio show in Chicago. Fox never pointed that out.

Yesterday, Fox and Friends continued their push to try and make kids go back to school. Ainsley Earhardt was “on assignment with the folks” speaking to a panel described as seven local parents in Falls Church, Virginia that made the claims that schools need to be open, which continued to push the Fox News narrative that they have been harping on.

Aliscia Andrews appeared with Earhardt and was referred to on-screen as a “mom of 3,” but Fox News did not credit her as the 2020 Republican nominee for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District.

In her Fox & Friends appearance, Andrews did mention “making a promise to the Virginia voters I asked to vote for me last fall,” but that was the only reference to her candidacy.

Another woman, Patti Hidalgo was credited as a school parent, but the fact that she was the current two-term president of the Loudoun County Republican Women’s Club somehow went unmentioned.

Fox wants the viewers to think they have just put these groups of people together, but in reality, they are people whose political leanings, align with Fox News.

The network should be more straight up with viewers, but we are not holding our breath on that one.

Now, onto the personal story about opening back up schools.

Here in Florida, for the most part, schools have been opened back up all school year.

I have a neighbor that lives with her husband, her two kids, and her elderly parents. The parents have not left the house since the pandemic started and have tried to stay safe and cautious.

Both had already just received their visit COVID vaccine shot and all seemed to be heading in the right direction.

Then, all of the sudden, both grandparents tested positive for the virus and the grandfather is not doing well at all and is currently in ICU at a local hospital.

After they came down with the virus, the entire family went and got tested. The Mom, Dad, and Son have all tested negative. The daughter sadly tested positive, but fortunately has no symptoms.

It is more than likely that the grandparents got the virus from their granddaughter, who likely got it while at school.

Right now it appears that the grandfather is not going to make it. Let’s hope that the granddaughter is young enough to not figure out that it was her that brought the virus into her house and may have killed her own grandfather.

So, if you think just opening up schools has no impact, because kids will be fine, I’m here to tell you it is more than just the kids.

How would you feel if you killed one of your parents? Now, imagine in you are 11 years old and you helped kill your grandfather.

Think about it before you demand that the schools open back up.

Also, don’t look for Ainsley Earhardt to be sitting down with this family. Their story does not fit the Fox News narrative.

Just saying….
