Fox News Sued for Nearly $3 Billion Bucks
After the election, people at Fox News like Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs, Jeanine Pirro, and others tried to falsely claim that the election was stolen from Donald Trump.
It was not.
But, while these Fox Newsers made those claims they would point to the election systems company Smartmatic and cast doubt about their system.
On November 15th, Bartiromo said on her show, “There is much to understand about Smartmatic, which owns Dominion Voting Systems. They have businesses in Venezuela, Caracas. They have businesses in Cuba, and there are also links to China.”
Now, Smartmatic is suing Fox News, along with naming Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs, Jeanine Pirro and others for $2.7 billion dollars.
Fox News released a statement about the lawsuit saying, "Fox News Media is committed to providing the full context of every story with in-depth reporting and clear opinion. We are proud of our 2020 election coverage and will vigorously defend this meritless lawsuit in court."
When Smartmatic first indicated that they were going to sue Fox News, the network tried to put the toothpaste back in the tube and brought on a voting technology expert that basically refuted what many of the Fox News hosts were claiming.
Now, it appears this lawsuit will decide if that was too little, too late.
The bottom line, Fox News management continues to leave Lou Dobbs and Maria Bartiromo on their shows, spewing lies and conspiracy theories. That might end up being their billion-dollar mistake.
It sure doesn’t appear to be a “meritless lawsuit” to us and a number of others.
Stay tuned….
