When KVUE (Austin) hired Mike Rush as the main Anchor at the Tegna station, then News Director Mike Redding said, “Mike Rush is the perfect fit for KVUE and Central Texas.”

But, after a few years, the station moved Rush from the main gig to mornings. Morning Anchor Bryan Mays moved up to the evening shows.

Now, sources tell FTVLive that Rush is leaving the Austin station.
