CNN boss Jeff Zucker should have launched an investigation into Chris Cuomo’s actions weeks ago, when the news surfaced that he was helping his brother Andrew fight off allegations.

CNN stood behind Cuomo and continued to let him host his show.

It wasn’t until the NY Times did what CNN should have done and took a closer look at Chris Cuomo’s actions that CNN finally suspended and ultimately fired Chris.

But, now that Cuomo is an ex-employee of CNN, Zucker says he will continue the investigation into his actions, which now also include an allegation of sexual misconduct.

Zucker has told the CNN staff that the network will continue investigating Cuomo's behavior after a woman at another network accused him of sexual misconduct.

Zucker told the staff that he felt betrayed and said that Cuomo “gave me his word that there was no involvement' beyond advice and support to his brother. 

Zucker then added, 'I fully understand that this has been a very unfortunate distraction for this organization, and I totally get it.’

Of course, maybe if Jeff Zucker had done his job as CNN head, the distraction to the organization would not have been as bad as it has been.
