Back in June, WPIX Reporter/Anchor Narmeen Choudhury left the Nexstar station and now she is explaining why she came to that decision to go.

In a post on social media, Choudhury said that she was a target of Islamophobia by a co-worker of hers at the station. She says that she brought this to the attention of Nexstar managers, but nothing was done about it.

She said that she feels as a Journalist, she needs to bring this issue public and that is just what she has done on her social media.

So far, FTVLive has not seen any reaction or reply from Nexstar, but we’ll continue to monitor the situation.
