COVID at News Nation

Sources at Nexstar’s News Nation tell FTVLive that the News Nation newsroom has become a Covid hotspot, according to some employees.

Insiders tell FTVLive that there are at least 6 people out with Covid currently.

“They didn’t know they’ve been exposed until a coworker told them, OR they started having symptoms,” said a NN staffer to FTVLive. “Many have been exposed with NO warning or heads up from upper management, Micheal Corn (News Nation boss) is still out on holiday vaca,” the staffer added.

The insider went onto say, “At least ONE person is currently being hospitalized with Covid. Nothing from the bosses about info of anyone being exposed to people. Nothing at all. I see KTLA (Nextstar O&O) is sending out tons of memos. We’ve gotten nothing. No work environment updates or changes.”

A source tells FTVLive that management does not want people to work from home because there are not enough computers and people are required to share computers amongst themselves.

“So they’d rather kill us with a virus than let us take a computer home to work and make things safe for their employees,” a News Nation employee told FTVLive.

Nexstar is one of the media companies that also has not required the staff be vaccinated. A number of Nexstar properties are now dealing with outbreaks.
