The Rocky Mountain Emmys were handed out on Saturday night.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter makes up just 5 of the 50 states, but that still did not stop them from handing out around 1000 Emmys to the people that submitted their entry along with a check for hundreds of dollars.

Think about that, 1000 awards handed in just a single region.

If you write anywhere on your resume that you are an Emmy nominated whatever, some may wonder how you could not have a garage full of those awards by now?

When I think about how much money people or stations have paid to enter the Emmys, I wonder how many could have been given a bigger raise, or another body added to the newsroom.
