A couple of days ago, FTVLive told you that longtime WTAE (Pittsburgh) Anchor Kelly Frey had left the station after more than two decades.

When you left, the Hearst station released this statement.

“After consideration and discussion over her next contract, Kelly Frey is leaving WTAE Channel 4. Kelly has been an important part of our family and success over the last 21 years. We wish Kelly and her family all the best.”

Frey has now finally talked about leaving the station and took to social media to back IP the station’s statement.

Some people at the station seem to believe that Frey’s exit has to due to the fact that she did not abide by the Hearst policy that employees need to have the COVID vaccine.

Frey, nor the station have not commented on those rumors one way or the other.
