That's Just Wrong

This is really F’d up, if you ask me…

In late October, there was a fatal car crash on I-905 in San Diego. The man killed in the crash was the father of a Photographer at KFMB in San Diego.

A SoCal stringer shot video of the accident and uploaded it to YouTube. It video includes the uncovered dead body of the Photographer’s dad.

Sources tell FTVLive that the station asked the stringer to remove or edit the video and that the stringer refused to do so.

What is the need to post the uncovered dead body on social media?

The stringer company relies on TV stations to use their video as a large source of income.

I would encourage all TV stations to boycott using this service or buying any video from them, in solidarity to the KFMB employee.

No family member for any family should see or know that the video of their uncovered dead relative is sitting out there on social media for all to see.

Yes, fatal accidents are news, and yes they are covered by the media. But, there is no reason to not use dignity in doing so. This is nothing more than snuff TV and it is disgusting.

SoCal TV stations, I urge to come together and take a stand. That could be your mom or dad laying dead on the side of the road. How would you feel?

Here is a link to the video (I refuse to embed it) just so you can see for yourself what I am talking about. Obviously, I warn you that this can be upsetting and you should think before you click.
