Yesterday, I was cleaning out my garage and stumbled across this picture from my first full-time job as a Photographer at KTUL in Tulsa.

Despite the fact that during my career in TV news, I was a News Director, Managing Editor, Executive Producer, Producer, Assignment Editor, Reporter, and Photographer, I still to this day look at being a News Photographer as the best job I ever had in TV news.

This picture was from back in the day when most people liked and respected the media and the company looked at TV news as a community service and not as a revenue generator.

Also, despite doing the job for decades, as far as I know, this is the only selfie I ever took.

Actually, this picture was taken by the promotions department when they did a promo about the News Photographers at the station.
