The giant shake-up continues to play out at the longtime struggling WGCL in Atlanta.

Anchor/Reporter Ashley Thompson becomes the latest to sign off and she says that she is leaving the TV news business altogether.

Thompson spent just over 5 years at the Meredith/ now Gray station and said that she anchored her last newscast. “I am leaving the biz altogether to have a more "normal" life. I'm looking forward to weekends and holidays off, not missing pivotal life events, more of a work-life balance and prioritizing my mental health,” she said in her post.

The station is undergoing a big shake-up as Gray comes in the door. Both the GM and the News Director have been handed their walking papers.
