During the newscast yesterday on KAUZ (Wichita Falls), longtime Anchor Chris Horgen announced that after nearly 30 years, he would be retiring from the station at the end of the November book.

“I will miss you all, and I am so thankful to have had all of the opportunities to bring you first the sports and then the news for almost three decades. I cannot thank you enough for your support since I walked in the door in 1992,” Horgen said.

What was a bit weird, while he announced the news, he was sitting in a triple-box in the lower lefthand quarter.

His co-anchor, Ashley Fitzwater was above him, and weather anchor Ken Johnson was in the biggest box on the screen right. It stayed that way for his entire announcement.

The man has been at the station since 1992 and is announcing that he’s leaving, couldn’t you have given him the full screen, or at the very least the bigger box?
