Nexstar Reporter Arrested for Impersonating a Police Officer
It appears that KRQE (New Mexico) Reporter Corey King likes to play police officer in his spare time.
King was arrested and charged with impersonating a peace officer in three different incidents.
In the probable cause statement (read in full here) it states 3 separate times in which King appeared to be acting as if he was a police officer.
King is the Nexstar station’s Roswell Bureau Reporter. The station says that he has been suspended pending an investigation.
In other words, there will be an opening as for the Roswell Bureau Reporter at KRQE.
What is interesting is that when the station first reported the arrest of King on their website, they did not use a picture of their Reporter, but instead used a stock photo of the New Mexico desert landscape.
Could they really not find a picture of their own Reporter? The story has since been updated with his photo added.
