Miami General Manager was Told to Fork Over Thousands of Dollars in Midst of CBS Layoffs
In the midst of layoffs at CBS, sources tell FTVLive that WFOR (Miami) General Manager Adam Levy was instructed to shell out $10,000 bucks for a charity dinner by CBS O&O President Peter Dunn.
CBS sources tell FTVLive as CBS was instituting layoffs, Dunn instructed Levy to purchase a table for an event honoring Miami Dolphins owner Stephen M. Ross.
Word is that the table cost $10,000 and it was a lot of money to layout at the time the station was being asked to trim their budget.
The Dolphins’ owner and Dunn are related as they are married to sisters.
This made life a bit for difficult for Levy as word is that Ross would often call up Dunn to critique the station the CBS Miami station. “It which would ultimately lead to another frantic and screaming call to Adam (from Dunn),” said a CBS source.
Levy was ultimately pushed out at WFOR and has still not been replaced.
And about those pricey tickets to the dinner.
Sources say that only person allowed to go to that $10,000 dinner from the station was Adam Levy. His guest was, you guessed it, Peter Dunn.
For a dinner that pricey, I hope it was more than chicken.
