By all accounts, the NBC owned Golf Channel is a niche channel for sure.

The channel caters to hard-core golfers and while its audience might not be huge, it is a demo that spends money and one that advertisers want to reach.

As NBC continues to cut the budget, they decided a while back that The Golf Channel should move out of Florida, the golf capital of the world, and move it to NBCUniversal’s home in Stamford, Conn.

You know, cause nothing says gold like Connecticut….right?

NBC has also decided to pull the plug on one of the network’s best shows.

Feherty was the show and it was hosted by golf announcer and former player David Feherty.

The show was pure genius and the fact that NBC pulled the plug on it shows they are clearly lacking smarts.

It’s sad when good TV shows go off the air, simply to save the corporate company a few bucks.

Sorry NBC, but you shanked this one.
